DESCRIPTION:This is a custom-tailored private course being put on by David Laird w/ DCS Training \nThis introductory course is designed around learning the fundamental skills behind shooting handguns both safely and accurately. The Pistol Precision course is designed for those who have been shooting for a while but need to learn how to be more accurate. Course instruction includes classroom work\, hands on dry-fire practice\, and live fire exercises designed to improve your shooting skills. \nFocus areas within this course include: \n\nUniversal Firearm Safety\ngrip\, stance\, sight alignment\, trigger squeeze\nPrecision shooting techniques/ Diagnosing your target\nGreat preparation for students interested in moving on to more advanced shooting courses and CCW\n\nHolster Fundamentals builds upon the skills found in the Precision Pistol course. This course focuses on precision and speed from the holster. This course will teach you exercises to help you become proficient with drawing your handgun quickly and accurately place rounds on target. Our goal is to get you down to 1.5 seconds before end of class. \nFocus areas within this course include: \n\nProper methods to draw from the holster\nAccuracy with shooting the first shot from the holster\nMulti-round shots & follow through\nAppropriate sight picture at various target distances\nShooting under stress and follow through assessment\n\nEquipment and supplies required: \nThe class requires eye and ear protection and at LEAST 200 rounds of ammunition for the handgun you will use. \nA quality holster that has 2 points of contact and does not collapse. Must cover trigger guard\, must not be loose. Must allow an unassisted return. AIWB is ok.

DESCRIPTION:Kinetic Combat Pistol\n(2 Days\, 800 Rounds)\nThis course is for the shooter who has a solid base of essential skills but now must learn how to use them in the pandemonium of armed conflict. It will focus on “movement with purpose” as history has shown combatants seldom stand still when under fire. Movement is more than just short lateral steps as many demonstrate\, it is moving explosively and dynamically\, planting quickly and shooting accurately to stop the threat. Lateral\, diagonal\, forward and rearward movement will be demonstrated and drilled. Disengagement and movement in an around innocent people\, who are there by happenstance alone\, will be emphasized. Strong emphasis will also be placed on being able to stop quickly\, shoot accurately and instantly move again. This is a physical course of instruction\, but one that will help you PREVAIL in a pistol fight.\n\n$520.00

That said\, it is NOT A BASIC CCW COURSE! In many states\, the basic CCW certification course is about safety while this course is about FIGHTING with a pistol. The course covers equipment selection\, concealment locations\, proper weapon selection\, lifestyle commitments\, wound ballistics\, combative mindset\, garment removal techniques and “running” a combative handgun.
