DESCRIPTION:Defensive Rifle II\n\n\n\n\n\nFighting Rifle II builds off our previous class and begins to integrate your pistol skills. We will introduce the proper use of cover and concealment and some unconventional shooting positions before we show you how to fight in the dark. \nFocus areas within this course include: \n\nUnconventional shooting positions\nUse of cover and concealment\nFlashlight Techniques\nPistol transitions\n\nClass Prerequisites: \nStudents must already have a strong grasp of using their rifle and keeping it running in a fight. Pistol skills should be at a more advanced level as the focus of this course is on the rifle. Students are encouraged to have already taken DCS Fighting Rifle I and DCS Defensive Pistol II or equivalent. \nEquipment and supplies required: \nRifle with sling and weapon mounted light (carbine)\, three (3) 20 or 30-round rifle magazines\, pistol with strong side holster that does not collapse\, dual rifle magazine pouch or carrier\, knee pads (optional but highly recommended)\, closed-toe shoes or boots\, 500+ rounds of rifle and 50-100+ rounds of pistol ammunition\, eye and ear protection\, handheld flashlight with momentary switch

DESCRIPTION:NRA Pistol Instructor Course \nThis 16-hour course teaches the knowledge\, skills\, and attitude essential to organizing\, promoting\, and teaching NRA’s Basic Pistol Shooting course. \nMore Details: Day one is the Basic Instructor Training\, Day two: Is a basic student course which is now required and will give instructor candidates the ability to see the course taught properly. Day Three: The instructor candidates will demonstrate teaching the material they saw on day one with assistance from our Counselor staff. \nPrerequisite: Possession of basic firearm safety and shooting skills is a prerequisite for certification as an NRA instructor. Prior to the instructor training\, candidates complete a pre-course questionnaire and demonstrate their firearm background in pre-course assessment exercises which includes a shooting qualification. They must be able to show the Training Counselors that they have a HIGH LEVEL of proficiency in safe gun handling. They must have attended BIT within the past 24 months. BIT will be March 19th 8am-5pm \nDescription: The course is presented in two parts: basic student training\, and discipline-specific instructor training. Students demonstrate organizational and teaching skills via participation in practical exercises during the course and complete an instructor certification examination. Students will receive the NRA Trainer’s Guide\, NRA Pistol Shooting Instructor Candidate Packet\, and NRA Basic Pistol Shooting course student packet. \nA Word Of Caution: (ANY SAFETY VIOLATIONS CAN DISQUALIFY YOU.)\nPaying for and attending the course DOES NOT GUARANTEE passing and obtaining the new  CCW Instructor Certification.
