DESCRIPTION:Fighting Rifle II builds off our previous class and begins to integrate your pistol skills. We will introduce the proper use of cover and concealment and some unconventional shooting positions before we show you how to fight in the dark. \nFocus areas within this course include: \n\nUnconventional shooting positions\nUse of cover and concealment\nFlashlight Techniques\nPistol transitions\n\nClass Prerequisites: \nStudents must already have a strong grasp of using their rifle and keeping it running in a fight. Pistol skills should be at a more advanced level as the focus of this course is on the rifle. Students are encouraged to have already taken DCS Fighting Rifle I and DCS Defensive Pistol II or equivalent. \nEquipment and supplies required: \nRifle with a sling and weapon-mounted light (carbine)\, three (3) 20 or 30-round rifle magazines\, pistol with strong side holster that does not collapse\, dual rifle magazine pouch or carrier\, knee pads (optional but highly recommended)\, closed-toe shoes or boots\, 500+ rounds of rifle and 50-100+ rounds of pistol ammunition\, eye\, and ear protection\, handheld flashlight with a momentary switch

DESCRIPTION:The EDC Essentials course builds upon the skills found in the Holster Fundamentals course and on your own personal experience. This course focuses on the more complex thinking on your feet required for defensive carry. This course will take you out of the comfort zone of what you think you know and present you will real-life scenarios and judgmental shooting. This is a 7-8 hour class not including lunch. \nFocus areas within this course include: \n\nDrawing from Concealment\nAccuracy with shooting the first shot from concealment\nLearning our warm-up drill\nMulti-round shots & follow-through\nReloads and malfunctions under timed induced stress\nShooting under timed induced stress and follow through assessment\nJudgmental shooting\nIntroductory movement\nExecutive protection techniques for your family.\n\nEquipment and supplies required: \nThis class requires eye and ear protection and at least 300 rounds of ammunition for the handgun you will use. \nSemi-automatic pistol with three (3) magazines and spare magazine carrier or a revolver with three (3) speed loaders and carrier for speed loaders. \nA quality strong-side holster (open or concealed) that has 2 points of contact and does not collapse (no shoulder holsters\, purse holsters permitted) AIWB is ok. This class incorporates concealment.
