DESCRIPTION:NRA Pistol Instructor Course \nThis 24-hour course teaches the basic knowledge\, skills\, and attitude essential to organizing\, promoting\, and teaching NRA’s Basic Pistol Shooting course. \nMore Details: \nDay one: is the Basic Instructor Training (BIT) This day covers NRA history\, purpose\, gives you insight on how to properly market and advertise your classes using NRA emblems and logos. This course is required when seeking a new discipline or if you have not attended within the past two years. \n  \nDay two: Is the Basic Student Course and is now required. This will give instructor candidates the ability to see the course taught properly in its entirety. \n  \nDay Three: The instructor candidates will demonstrate organizational and teaching skills via participation in practical exercises during the course and complete an instructor certification examination. Students will receive the NRA Trainer’s Guide\, NRA Pistol Shooting Instructor Candidate Packet\, and NRA Basic Pistol Shooting course student packet. \n  \nPrerequisite: Possession of basic firearm safety and shooting skills is a prerequisite for certification as an NRA instructor. Before the instructor training\, candidates complete a pre-course questionnaire and demonstrate their firearm background in pre-course assessment exercises which includes a shooting qualification. They must be able to show the Training Counselors that they have a HIGH LEVEL of proficiency in safe gun handling. They must have attended BIT within the past 24 months. \n  \nEquipment required: A pistol 9mm or larger full-size handgun. 200 rounds of ammunition\, notebooks\, pens\, eye and hearing protection\, and a positive attitude. \n  \nA Word Of Caution: (ANY SAFETY VIOLATIONS CAN DISQUALIFY YOU.)\nPaying for and attending the course DOES NOT GUARANTEE passing and obtaining the new  CCW Instructor Certification.

DESCRIPTION:Holster Fundamentals builds upon the skills found in the Precision Pistol course. This course focuses on precision and speed from the holster. This course will teach you exercises to help you become proficient with drawing your handgun quickly and accurately place rounds on target. Our goal is to get you down to 1.5 seconds before the end of class. \nFocus areas within this course include: \n·        Proper methods to draw from a holster with retention \n·        Accuracy with shooting the first shot from the holster \n·        Learning our warm-up drill \n·        Multi-round shots & follow-through using cadence exercises  \n·        Appropriate sight picture at various target distances \n·        Shooting under timed stress and follow-through assessment. \n·        Our goal is to get you below 1.5 sec from the holster. \nEquipment and supplies required: \nThis class requires eye and ear protection and at least 300 rounds of ammunition for the handgun you will use \nSemi-automatic pistol with three (3) magazines and spare magazine carrier or a revolver with three (3) speed loaders and carrier for speed loaders \nA quality holster that has 2 points of contact and does not collapse. Must cover trigger guard\, must not be loose. Must allow an unassisted return. AIWB is ok.   \n$125.00
