DESCRIPTION:Defensive Rifle III is our final segment designed for individuals utilizing the carbine for protection inside or outside the home. This class introduces movement while re-enforcing your previously learned skills. Your home presents unique challenges with small rooms\, hallways\, and multiple entry points. Understanding these challenges is a key element in preparing yourself for home protection. \nFocus areas within this course include: \n\nThe movement to and from cover and concealment\nUse of rifle transitions with barriers\nPistol transitions on the move\nWeapon mounted lights and unconventional positions\n\nClass Prerequisites: \nStudents are required to have completed DCS Fighting Rifle II and DCS Fighting Pistol III or equivalent.  \nEquipment and supplies required: \n   Rifle with a sling and weapon-mounted light (carbine)\, three (3) 20 or 30-round rifle magazines\, pistol with strong side holster that does not collapse\, dual rifle magazine pouch or carrier\, knee pads (optional but highly recommended)\, closed-toe shoes\, or boots\, 500+ rounds of rifle and 100+ rounds of pistol ammunition\, eye and ear protection\, handheld flashlight with a momentary switch. \n$250.00

Course instruction includes classroom work\, hands on dry-fire practice and live fire exercises designed to improve your shooting skills. \nFocus areas within this course include: \n\nUniversal Firearm Safety\ngrip\, stance\, sight alignment\, trigger press\nPrecision shooting techniques/ Diagnosing your target\nTarget engagement up to 25yrds successfully.\nCadence exercises\nGreat preparation for students interested in moving on to more advanced shooting courses and CCW\n\nEquipment and supplies required: \nClass requires eye and ear protection and at LEAST 200 rounds of ammunition for the handgun you will use. \nA quality holster that has 2 points of contact and does not collapse. Must cover trigger guard\, must not be loose. Must allow unassisted return. AIWB is ok.
