SUMMARY:NRA Basic Pistol Instructor course @ Cameo Shooting Range
DESCRIPTION:This 24-hour course teaches the basic knowledge\, skills\, and attitude essential to organizing\, promoting\, and teaching NRA’s Basic Pistol Shooting course. \nMore Details: \nDay one: is the Basic Instructor Training (BIT) This day covers NRA history\, purpose\, gives you insight on how to properly market and advertise your classes using NRA emblems and logos. This course is required when seeking a new discipline or if you have not attended within the past two years. This morning the very first thing you will be tested on is your shooting ability. All instructor candidates will shoot the qualification cold. \nDay two: Is the Basic Student Course and is now required. This will give instructor candidates the ability to see the course taught properly in its entirety. \nDay Three: The instructor candidates will demonstrate organizational and teaching skills via participation in practical exercises during the course and complete an instructor certification examination. Students will receive the NRA Trainer’s Guide\, NRA Pistol Shooting Instructor Candidate Packet\, and NRA Basic Pistol Shooting course student packet. \nPrerequisite: Possession of basic firearm safety and shooting skills is a prerequisite for certification as an NRA instructor. Before the instructor training\, candidates complete a pre-course questionnaire and demonstrate their firearm background in pre-course assessment exercises which includes a shooting qualification. They must be able to show the Training Counselors that they have a HIGH LEVEL of proficiency in safe gun handling. They must have attended BIT within the past 24 months. \nEquipment required: A pistol 9mm or larger full-size handgun. 200 rounds of ammunition\, notebooks\, pens\, eye and hearing protection\, and a positive attitude. Laptops or tablets are also welcome. \n  \nA Word Of Caution: (ANY SAFETY VIOLATIONS CAN DISQUALIFY YOU.)\nPaying for and attending the course DOES NOT GUARANTEE passing and obtaining the Instructor Certification. You must pass the written exam with 90% or higher and you must pass the shooting qualification with 16/20. \n$500.00

DESCRIPTION:NRA CCW Instructor Course\nThe NRA CCW Instructor course requires 16 hours. It covers everything an Instructor Candidate should already know to be able to teach the NRA CCW course to students. \nMore Details: \nDay one is classroom and day two is range time. At the end of the range portion\, you must be able to pass a timed shooting qualification (from concealment) in order to receive this advanced certification. Strongly recommend practicing the AZPOST qualification from concealment to help you prepare. Strongly recommend KYDEX style holsters and mag pouches with two belt clips. (ANY SAFETY VIOLATIONS WITH YOUR DRAW STROKE OR RETURNING TO THE HOLSTER CAN DISQUALIFY YOU.) \nInstructor Candidate Pre-Requisites\nInstructor Candidates for the NRA CCW certification must already be NRA Pistol Instructors. They must be able to show the Training Counselors that they have a HIGH LEVEL of proficiency in safe gun handling. They must have attended BIT within the past 24 months. \nDescription: \nThis is a two-day NRA CCW Workshop\nWe start off with a 1 hour NRA CCW student course that meets the Arizona CCW permit requirements. This certification is one of many the NRA offers that will help you get started in the firearms training industry and is required in many states for many purposes. \nMore Details: \nDay one:  Basic Instructor Training (BIT) This class teaches you the history of the NRA\, It’s purpose and mission. You will learn how to properly organize and market your programs\, protect student information\, as well as what it takes to be successful\, using their programs. The Instructor level Shooting qualification will occur first thing Day one on the range cold. You must demonstrate proficiency of your shooting skills by getting 16/20 rounds on a 9″ plate from 40′ in a 6″ group using a standard pistol. .22Lr will not be accepted in this course.  \nDay Two: NRA Basic Pistol Student This course is a mandatory requirement before attending the Instructor course and will give the instructor candidates the ability to see the Basic pistol student course taught properly to the NRA standard as well as allow us to work with you one on one and help improve your shooting abilities to better guarantee your successful completion of the shooting qualification. \nDay three: NRA Basic Pistol Instructor The instructor candidates will demonstrate their teaching abilities to students using the basic student material they saw on day two with assistance from our Counselor staff. \nPrerequisite: Possession of basic firearm safety and shooting skills is a perquisite for certification as an NRA instructor. Prior to the instructor training\, candidates complete a pre-course questionnaire and demonstrate their firearm background in pre-course assessment exercise which includes a shooting qualification. They must be able to show the Training Counselors that they have a HIGH LEVEL of proficiency in safe gun handling. They must have attended BIT within the past 24 months. \nDescription: Course is presented in three parts: BIT\, basic student training\, and discipline specific instructor training. Students demonstrate organizational and teaching skills via participation in practical exercises during the course\, and complete an instructor certification examination.
