Rifle Basics
This 4-hour class focuses on the basics of tactical rifle shooting. We welcome any tactical rifle. We will teach you about your rifle platform, its function, and operation. This class is designed for a new shooter who has recently purchased a military-style rifle for home defense and would like to know the basics of set up, tear down, cleaning, and safe operation from various positions.
Focus areas within this course include:
· Basic history operation
· Basics of rifle ammunition/ Ballistics
· Proper loading and unloading procedures
· Rifle optic options and their purpose
· Zeroing sites or installed optics
Equipment and supplies required:
One Rifle, one (1) rifle magazine, closed-toe shoes or boots, 100 rounds of ammunition, eye and ear protection.

Defensive Rifle I
This 7-8-hour class is the first class in a series that will help you learn basic fundamental skills using a military carbine for close-quarters personal protection both inside and outside the home. This class has a great pace and will use both dry-fire and live-fire exercises.
Focus areas within this course include:
· Conventional shooting positions
· Speed reloads and Magazine exchanges
· Malfunctions clearances
· Live-fire drills using controlled pairs, speed drills, multiple target engagements, and identification
Equipment and supplies required:
Rifle with a sling, three (3) 20 or 30-round magazines, dual rifle magazine pouch or carrier, knee pads (optional but highly recommended), closed-toe shoes or boots, 500+ rounds of ammunition, eye and ear protection.

Upcoming RIFLE II: Defensive Rifle I

Defensive Rifle II
Defensive Rifle II builds off our previous class and begins to integrate your pistol skills. We will introduce the proper use of cover and concealment and some unconventional shooting positions before we show you how to fight in the dark.
Focus areas within this course include:
· Unconventional shooting positions
· Use of cover and concealment
· Flashlight Techniques
· Pistol transitions
Class Prerequisites:
Students must already have a strong grasp of using their rifle and keeping it running in a fight. Pistol skills should be at a more advanced level as the course’s focus is on the rifle. Students are encouraged to have already taken DCS Fighting Rifle I and DCS Defensive Pistol II or equivalent.
Equipment and supplies required:
Rifle with a sling and weapon-mounted light (carbine), three (3) 20 or 30-round rifle magazines, pistol with strong side holster that does not collapse, dual rifle magazine pouch or carrier, knee pads (optional but highly recommended), closed-toe shoes or boots, 500+ rounds of rifle, and 50-100+ rounds of pistol ammunition, eye, and ear protection, handheld flashlight with a momentary switch.

Defensive Rifle III
Defensive Rifle III is our final segment designed for individuals utilizing the carbine for protection inside or outside the home. This class introduces movement while re-enforcing your previously learned skills. Your home presents unique challenges with small rooms, hallways, and multiple entry points. Understanding these challenges is a key element in preparing yourself for home protection.
Focus areas within this course include:
· The movement to and from cover and concealment
· Use of rifle transitions with barriers
· Pistol transitions on the move
· Weapon mounted lights and unconventional positions
Class Prerequisites:
Students are required to have completed DCS Fighting Rifle II and DCS Fighting Pistol III or equivalent.
Equipment and supplies required:
Rifle with a sling and weapon-mounted light (carbine), three (3) 20 or 30-round rifle magazines, pistol with strong side holster that does not collapse, dual rifle magazine pouch or carrier, knee pads (optional but highly recommended), closed-toe shoes, or boots, 500+ rounds of rifle and 100+ rounds of pistol ammunition, eye and ear protection, handheld flashlight with a momentary switch.

Precision Rifle Courses
PRECISION RIFLE I:
Precision Fundamentals
Long-range rifle shooting is about the precision engagement of small or distant targets that challenge the limits of your equipment, ammunition, and your capabilities while under time and/or field pressures. This is the first, of 3 classes focused on long-range shooting. This 8-hour class will focus on the equipment, tools, and skills required to lead you to successful long-range shooting.
Focus areas within this course include:
· Rifle construction
· Ammunition, Optics, Ranging targets
· Calibers
· Ancillary gear
Equipment and supplies required:
Rifle (you must bring your own). 100 rounds of quality match grade ammunition with the same lot #’s. Magnified rifle optic. Shooting mat recommended but not required. The caliber of .223 or higher. Eye and ear protection and a segmented cleaning rod.

PRECISION RIFLE II:
Long Range Applications
DCS Precision Rifle II takes the basic information you learned in the Precision Rifle I class and now teaches you how to apply those skills on targets at distances up to 600 yards away. Students will work in pairs to understand spotter/shooter roles and responsibilities. Students will learn how to create range cards, perform range estimations using their scope and apply ballistic calculations to adjust for windage and elevation to accurately engage targets with 1st round hits on target. Students will also learn holdover techniques to speed up their target engagements.
Focus areas within this course include:
· True Elevation adjustments and travel with their optic
· Bullet Drop compensation
· Setup and placement
· Range Cards
· Range estimation
Class Prerequisites:
Completed DCS Precision Rifle I or instructor exception
Equipment and supplies required:
Rifle (you must bring your own). 100+ rounds of quality match grade ammunition with the same lot #’s. Magnified rifle optic. Shooting mat recommended but not required. The caliber of .223 or higher. Eye and ear protection.

PRECISION RIFLE III:
Precision Long Range Rifle
This 2-day class combines what you have learned in the DCS Precision Rifle II and will add more complication to push you further than you have ever shot before 1000+ yards. Students will work in pairs to review spotter/shooter roles and responsibilities. Students will review range cards, perform range estimations using their scope and apply ballistic calculations to adjust for windage and elevation to accurately engage targets with 1st round hits. Students will also learn holdover techniques to speed up their target engagements.
Focus areas within this course include:
· True Elevation adjustments and travel with their optic
· Bullet Drop compensation
· Setup and placement
· Range Cards
· Range estimation
· Windage adjustments
· Truing your ammunition
Class Prerequisites:
Completed DCS Precision Rifle I and II OR with instructor exception.
Equipment and supplies required:
Rifle (you must bring your own). 200+ rounds of quality match grade ammunition with the same lot #’s. Magnified rifle optic. Shooting mat recommended but not required. The caliber of .308 or higher. Eye and ear protection.
