PISTOL 1B: Precision Pistol Science

Course Description:

The Precision Pistol Science Course is designed for shooters who have a foundational understanding of their handgun operation and want to refine their accuracy and precision shooting skills. This course explains the science of your muscular influence while shooting a handgun and helps you learn how to isolate muscle groups to cause perfect precision through the combination of in-depth dry-fire practice and live-fire drills to develop consistency and proficiency in precision shooting. Whether you are a competitive shooter, self-defense practitioner, or firearm enthusiast, this course will help you improve shot placement, recoil management, and target acquisition under various conditions.

 What you will learn:

  • Reinforce and apply universal firearm safety principles.
  • Optimize handgun fit and ergonomics for improved accuracy.
  • Master grip, stance, sight alignment, sight picture, and trigger control.
  • Develop precision shooting techniques and learn to diagnose shot patterns.
  • Engage targets successfully at distances up to 25 yards.
  • Implement effective cadence drills for faster, more accurate follow-up shots.
  • Learn and execute structured warm-up drills to enhance consistency and performance.
  • Learn how to evaluate your performance executing the required drills and make the proper adjustments to improve on your own.

 Required Equipment:

  • Eye and ear protection.
  • A reliable handgun with at least 200 rounds of ammunition.
  • A high-quality holster with two points of contact with your belt that maintains shape and covers the trigger guard (AIWB is permitted).
  • Additional magazines and magazine pouches (recommended but not required).
